Somerset Sight is your local charity based in Taunton, which supports blind and partially sighted people throughout Somerset.
At their offices in Northfield House, 51 Staplegrove Road, Taunton TA1 1DG, throughout February they have been holding Warm Space Mondays. This is FREE soup and cake in a lovely warm space, from 12.30pm to 2pm.
On alternate Mondays, they have either singing group which anyone can join of any ability – this is not a choir, or Musical Mondays with a different theme each time.
Both these activities are free to visually impaired people, whether registered with them or not. They would prefer a telephone call for the Soup and Cake to ensure they have enough in, but people are welcome to pop in.
